Growing Minds.
Strong Foundations.
Thoughtfully designed developmental resources for young learners to explore, practice, and grow.
Introducing The Developmental Foundations Lab
The Developmental Foundations Lab is a progressive collection of educational workbooks designed to strengthen foundational skills that contribute to early learning and development
Grounded in principles of child development, each workbook provides purposeful, age-appropriate activities targeting visual-motor coordination, fine-motor skills, spatial awareness, and motor planning. Guided by Panda and the Lab Team, children are encouraged to explore, practice, and build emerging skills through gradually increasing challenges.
Building Skills from the Foundation Up
The Developmental Foundations Lab emphasizes four interconnected areas of development that contribute to early learning and everyday activities.
Fine-Motor Skills
Developing the coordination and control of the small muscles of the hands and fingers needed for activities such as drawing, manipulating objects, and early writing.
Visual-Motor Skills
Strengthening the ability to coordinate visual information with hand movements to support tracing, drawing, copying, and other activities requiring hand-eye coordination.
Motor Planning Skills
Developing the ability to plan, organize, and carry out purposeful movements, supporting increasingly complex drawing, construction, and everyday tasks.
Visual-Spatial Skills
Building the ability to recognize and understand shapes, spatial relationships, direction, and the position of objects in relation to one another.
Meet the Lab Team
Meet Panda and the Lab Team—five friendly characters who help guide children through the Developmental Foundations Lab activities.
Panda, Turtle, Dolphin, Zebra, and Dinosaur each bring a unique personality and encouraging approach to learning, helping children explore new skills, practice at their own pace, and approach challenges with confidence.
